Butternut Squash Soup

One of my favourite soups is butternut squash, and last night we made our own from scratch. It was a fair bit of work, but well worth it; the soup tastes fantastic. My favourite part is putting all the ingredients into the food processor, and watching them transform into soup.

Lately we have been attempting to broaden our range of recipes that we are comfortable with making, which helps to avoid the temptation to eat out all the time. We also received two great new cookbooks from our Aunt as a belated wedding present, which should provide even more inspiration.
